“The Other Side” is a song about crossing over from this world to the next. We have all experienced the pain of losing a loved one. As they are leaving us it’s not always easy to find the words to comfort them as they journey into the unknown.

I wrote “The Other Side” for a close friend and his siblings. They had recently lost their brother to cancer and were coping with the pain of his transition to the other side. Their brother had many health issues over his lifetime but was strong and determined to live his life the best he could. This track describes their feelings towards him and the respect they had for the way he handled his journey in this life.
